Hi, I'm a bit confused ... when would I rather write an database
application using MS Access and Visual Basic and when (and why) would I
rather write it using Visual Studio .Net?
Is it as easy in Visual Studio to create reports and labels as it's in
Access?`
The advantage of VS.net is that not every user needs Access, right? And
that would eliminate the Access version problem as well I guess.

I am trying to convince a client that dotNet is preferable to an Access
project (ADP/ADE).
This client currently has a large, pure Access MDB solution with 30+ users,
which needs to be upgraded.
I believe a dotNet solution is better, but I'm trying to be as convincing as
possible -- and maybe I'm wrong!
I would appreciate any input or references which could help me.

ich möchte aus einem Formular aus, eine bereits vorhandene
Laufendenummer aus einer Tabelle.spalte auslese und dazu noch eine 1
addiere und dann das Ergebnis in ein Textfeld dieses Formulars
schreiben! Danach werden weitere Daten von dem User eingegeben und
dann werden alle diese Daten (die neue Laufendenummer auch) in der
gleichen Tabelle als neuer Datensatz gespeichert.

I'd like to have my minutes convert to hours and minutes in Access
report in this format: hh:mm. For examples: 150 minutes converts to
2:30. I have this formula below used to work with my machine using
Access 2002 SP3.

Hi,
I'd like to print a diagram which is embedded in a formular. The only
possibility I found is to draw the diagram in print event handler by
hand on a Graphics. However this seems to be very circumstantial,
because the diagram already exists on that formular. Is there a way to
print the diagram or the whole formular without redrawing it manually?

The table I created is very easy: it consists of one field "Nomen" (datatype
'text' size 50) and 10 fields m1 to m10 datatype 'text' size 3. Now, having
an array of some records with different "Nomen" and after that to fill m1 of
the first record with 1 and m1 of the second with 2 by using the "down"-key
for going forward, MS-ACCESS will fill m1 of the following records
automatically with 3; 4; 5;.... when only using the "down"-key. The...

ich suche ein Ereignis, das ausgelöst wird, wenn eine Access-Datenbank
inaktiv wird.
(Access 2003)
Hintergrund ist: Anwender macht ACCESS-Datenbank auf und arbeitet
damit, lässt geöffnetes Formular stehen. Anschließend arbeitet der
Anwender im Word weiter. Jetzt schlummert die Access-DB im Hintergrund.
