Access 2000 under Win XP crashing after long term use?

Hi.

I have a client who has been running my Access 2000 system for a while now
(about a year and a half) and is suddenly encountering lots of problems...
as in misc. fatal errors that shut the database down.

Hard drive space looks good (I think): about 3 GB of about 8 GB free
RAM: 316 MB
O/S: Win XP Home Edition SR-1
Access 2000 service pack 1, I think

I have suggested the following:
1) Compact and repair the database
2) enlarging her paging file
3) removing files in her TEMP directory
4) unistalling and reinstalling Access

None seem to make a difference.

She was able to copy the database and successfully run it on another
machine.

Anyone have any experience with Access suddenly failing after long time use?

I had a similar experience with another long-time client a while back but
compact/restore resolved that issue.

Any ideas?

1. Uninstall Office.
2. Reinstall Office.
3. Apply the service packs, including SP3 for Office 2000, and SP8 for JET

The database is damaged, even though it works on another setup:
1. Apply the service packs, including SP3 for Office 2000, and SP8 for JET
4.

2. Uncheck the boxes under:
Tools | Options | General | Name AutoCorrect

3. Compact the database to get rid of the Name AutoCorrect junk:
Tools | Database Utilities

4. Decompile a copy of the database by entering something like this at the
command prompt while Access is not running. It is all one line, and include
the quotes:
"c:\Program Files\Microsoft office\office\m saccess.exe" /decompile
"c:\MyPath\MyDa tabase.mdb"

5. If it is still not fixed, rebuild the database by following the 6 steps
for the 1st symptom in:
