Help,
In Access 2000, I have a bound column - textbox. As soon as I type
three dots (periods) in the textbox and keep typing (more dots or
anything else), it automatically converts the three dots to a bolded
vertical line. How could I turn that vertical line off?
Thanks in advance,
James 3 2347

Sounds as if Access is automatically converting your three dots to an
ellipsis character, but the font you are using doesn't display it
correctly. You should either alter the autocorrect settings in Access or
the font you are using.

This is the auto-correct, common to Office applications.
1. Open your form in design view.
2. Right-click the text box, and choose Properties.
3. On the Other tab, set autocorrect to No.
4. Repeat for your other text boxes and combos on your various forms.

Alternatively, if you have large text fields where having
Autocorrect might be appropriate (it's certainly not appropriate for
a combo box, for instance, and it's bloody stupid of MS to have set
up Access to have Autocorrect turned on automatically for all
controls), you have two alternatives:
1. use a font that has the ellipsis character (if you're using MS
Sans Serif, switch to Arial), OR
2. delete the ellipsis entry from the Autocorrect list.

Hello,
Does anyone know how I can tell the ListView NOT to
display the three dots when it thinks the text will not
fit in the column.
E.g. 'Hello World' will be displayed as 'Hello...' if the
column width cannot fit the word 'World'.
Thanks,

Hello Everyone,
Fairly new to c# here and have a question regarding scrollbars,
particularly a vertical scrollbar.
It looks like my options are restricted for the textbox scrollbars
being that I can enable vertical or horizontal scrollbars for the
textbox and their wrapping but thats it for modifications of the
scrollbar.

Hi,
I have a question about vertical text property for labels.
I have set several labels to show vertical text on one of my forms. I
had no problems with them on my desktop computer.
Now I installed the same application on my laptop and the text
disappeared.
The only way I found in order to reveal them was to change the Font to
"Aharoni"....
