Access 2000 on Office XP?

On a certain computer I have MS Office XP Standard Edition installed.
Thas is WITHOUT MS Access. Now I happen to need MS Access. And think it
is not a good solution to buy a new MS Office XP Business edtion. So
therefore I have some questions.

1 I have a MS Office 2000 Student Edition. This includes MS Access and
it is OK to install on three computers. Is it possible to install this
MS Access on top of my current MS Office XP?

2 Can a MS Access database (with forms, queries and reports) be exported
for import into a MS Works database?

3 If neither 1 nor 2 has a viable solution, is there a good alternative?

I have two clients now who want to have an Access 2000 & 2002 application running on NT Server 2000 do some file updating at night when nobody is in the office. I have used Windows scheduler to schedule the apps to start at 4:00 am, but at that time of night, nobody is logged on to the server. Is it possible to get Access to run on a...

After reading and experiencing the phenomenon of installing MS Office 2000 on a system that already has MS Office 97, or for that matter just Access 97 Runtime, I saw the ugliness that ensues. If one elects the standard installation, then Office 2000 deletes a large percentage of the older files. Of course, if one happens to choose Custom...

I have a client who is using Access 2002/2000 (the database itself is written in 2000), and is considering migrating to Access 2003. Any recommendations on whether Access 2003 is worth the migrate, or should he stick with 2002? Thanks! Neil

Hi We need some advice: We are thinking of upgrading our Access database from Access 2000 to Access 2004. How stable is MS Office 2003? (particularly Access 2003). We are just a small company and this is a big decision for us(!) It's not just the money it's committing to an new version of Access!

Is there a way to find out where an application was created from? i.e. - work or home i.e. - if application sits on a (work) server/network, the IT people know the application is sitting there, but is there a way they can find out if that application was put there from a CD or email or created at work? Hint: It's not on a client/server...

I know you guys are heavy duty coders, while I do ad-hoc analysis, and rarely write code. And, I may be in the wrong groups because this is about an install issue, and I don't think it's a code issue. But ... Office 2000 was on this machine when it was given to me. I don't own it. After installing Office 97, mine, in a different directory,...

Hello - This is my first posting to this group, so please bear with me. Also note, that while I'm intelligent, databases are not in my field of knowledge. I'm working with a small limousine company. They presently have about 4 networked computers, all running Windows XP (w/SP2) and Microsoft Office 2000 (specifically Access 2000) - and a...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
