Hi,
I was wondering if the database file size limit was still 2GB in
Access 2003? Does anyone out there who has been beta testing or a mvp
have any info on this?

The brief answer is No, you can go to the sky in Access 2003, but my
experience is that Access gets flakey when you get that high, especially if
you are adding a large number of records between Compact/Repair cycles.

I would've thought that given A2003 is using Jet 4.0 it still has the 2 Gb

Hi.
In the ldb file you can see the users of the mdb-file. If you open the
mdb-file your machine and username will be written in the lbd- file.
Allthough you close the mdb-file your name won't disappear from the
ldb-file, before every user has closed the mdb-file.
I have heard that there will be problems if the amount of users will
be over 10 in mdb-files. Is that true?

In general , it work fine.
But if hit rate of web is very much, it occure error 'Unspecified error'.
it error on conn.open.
My code will be closed and destroyed connection object always.
I think that problem come from database concurrency.
I can't change database to sql server because it about budget.

Hi, I have an Access 2002 - 2003 database. I am using Access 2003.
Whenever I link an image all it shows is the filename. Not the image.
Other versions of Access can link the image just fine. The properties
look the same whether I use XP or 2003 versions of Office.
If I take an earlier version of Access and link the image, it puts the
image. I can also see the image in 2003. If I link the image using
2003 it only shows the filename....

I have a Back End database (split) that is on a smokin' hot machine
(dual processor, 2 gig RAM, XP Pro SP2) and I'm getting an error that
says the database (back end file) is "opened exclusively" by someone
else.
I looked at the number of sessions and noticed that when the number of
sessions were at 10, any new user launching the front end would get
the "exclusive" error message.
There is no security in place and no login required.

I am just wondering why, with nothing else running and executing an
update query against a very large table, does Access seem to be
causing less than 10% processor usage. Then it says "There is not
enough disk space or memory to undo the changes". I have 2 gb RAM,
Core 2 duo e6300 processor and plenty of disk space. Why doesn't
Access peg the CPU?
