I currently have the following VB code in a MS Access Database which I use
to send emails. Nonetheless, it opens Outlook and I would like it to send an
email using Outlook Express. Could anyone please oblige in ammending the
code for me, so that it uses Outlook Express 5?

Hi,
I have a VB.NET windows app that needs to automatically send a simple text
email when my users run a new version of the app for the first time. I
thought this would be simple, but after days of reading posts and testing, I
see it is not - unless I'm missing something? I'm not an email guru.
All of my users will be running at least Windows 2000, most on XP sp2. Some
of my users will have Outlook, many will be using Outlook...

In A97, I used sendobject frequently. My default mail application when
I was developing in A97 up until July this year was netscape 4.x (yes, i
was a dinosaur and I know netscape 4.x was the bug that ate Sheboygan).
With my new PC and A2003, I'm using Netscape 7.2 (which other netscape
users tell me is much, much better than 4.x with respect to all sorts of
things).

i've got a piece of code, which sends an e mail to a customer, asking them
to return a rened film.
however, it only works if u have ms outlook express installed.
is there any way of doing a check or somthing, so that the program does not
crash?? cos i tried it on my m8s pc, and the program just haults!! and he
didint believe me that it works, but it works fine on my home (this) pc.
