the site is only meant for pictures and videos, so you'll have to turn the text into a jpg, gif, etc. to upload it to that site.

Well, any webserver can do that - just set them in HTML for example. Or have I misunderstood your question?

Hello,

If you are planning to write a blog, then ignore this reply.

If the look and feel of the text doesnot matters to you (and uploading text is all that you wish), then pastebins are a good choice (Google "pastebin" for more).
Also, IMHO it is not possible to upload text with specific font size as there is an option in all browsers to zoom in/zoom out text (e.g. [View] --> [Zoom] in firefox OR [View] --> [Text size] in IE etc.). If we interpret it this way, then font size of text in a webpage depends on text size settings of browser.

Hope this helps....

I have a custom control (MyTextBox - taken from Microsoft website) that implements the IPostBackDataHandler interface. It is added to the controls collection of a placeholder control during the Page Load of a main ASPX page. Now if we debug the MyTextBox, we find the order of events like so (during a Posback, of course): OnInit -> OnLoad -> LoadPostData. My question is why does the LoadPostData occur *after* the OnLoad instead of...

My first ASP.NET application on Visual Studio 2005 and .NET Framework 2.0 The application compiles and executes correctly on the development machine. I then publish it to an empty directory on the development machine. I then copy that directory to the remote server that contains numerous directories and some of them are using .NET Framework 1.1 (1.1 and 2.0 are both installed on the server). When I call the page I get the message ...

Using the code below the browser just sits and spins. The dll is located in the root of the web app. System.Runtime.Interop is in the using statements. I have tried this in ASP.NET 1.1 and 2.0 and I get the same result. For testing purposes I have hooked it up to a windows app and it performs as expected. Do you know why the dll won't load in asp.net? namespace WebApplication2 { public class _default : System.Web.UI.Page {

Thanks Peter, I thought I'd give an update on this problem. My application had 2 assemblies that contained classed for the Data access and business logic layer. It was on one of them that I was getting the Access denied error. After checking different settings and googling I wasnt able to pinpoint the problem and as a temporary fix I decided to merge the two assemblies into one, my logic being no offending assembly no access denied...

I have some properties data to be loaded for the site use, such as: website url, admin email, mailing component to use, etc. for my ASP website. They will be stored in a database, or I also consider XML and/ or .inc text file. What is the best practice to load them once when user starts website browsing and keep them until user leaves the site? I considered Global.asa, but I know there must be one per application. I may have 2 same...

I've developed an ASP.NET website that runs fine on my local WinXP IIS and on my server's IIS, both are IIS6.0 The site uses a master page that has the following declaration: <%@ Master Language="VB" AutoEventWireup="false" CodeBehind="HVOA.master.vb" Inherits="HVOAWebsite.HVOA" %> The site will actually be hosted at an external hosting site, specifically GoDaddy.Com. Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
