explorer is probably trying to initial a network connection of some type and gets stuck while waiting for the connection to succeed or fail. If you don't do anything will Windows eventually load?

simple to fix this problem run this command

sfc / scannow

this is the system file checker
it will scan all the windows core system files to ensure that they are in their respective correct places
if not replace them from the CD

during the scaning you may be asked to insert the Windows CD. if this happend just go retry and let it do it's own way

it's take about 30 to 40 mins depand on ur pc speed.

hope this will help to solve other peopels problem. : )

Every once in a while (especially when I visit suspect web sites :), every single window on my Microsoft Windows XP & Microsoft Windows 2000 operating systems goes haywire. All the windows (every single one) shake, quiver, & shiver about. For example, if I use Netscape to pull down a menu item, that pull-down menu quivers and shakes and shivers. If I use Eudora to read email, not only does the main Eudora window shake, shiver, and...

Hello I am experiencing extremely long time for loading a windows form in my Visual C++ .NET project This Windows form has just 40 labels, 4 checkBoxes, 2 buttons and 11 numericUpDown. It takes several minutes to load this form in the form designer when I double click on the . file in the Visual Studio .NET Solution Explorer. It gets worse with another form that has more controls. It gets really dramatic when I try to compile in...

As the title suggests, I am experiencing a problem, originally on a production server machine and now on other machines where internet explorer and other processes that use windows script (cscript in particular) hang on loading. Today I found that when I kill aspnet_wp.exe, the other processes load and continue as expected. (Found this while working on a new web service) However our second production machine does not have this problem....

I'm currently working on a project developing a web application that makes heavy use of 3rd-party controls, popup windows and frames ( not my design I hasten to add ). Some of the pages make use of several user controls embedded in a tab control. Needless to say that the page size can be somewhat on the large size, including a lot of information being stored in viewstate. I'm currently looking for a solution to resolve the problem of...

Hi, I have a website that uses an ISAPI filter that will redirect anyone going to any page on the site to an SSL login page (on a different website with the same root domain) if they do not have the appropriate session cookie already. After logging in on that page successfully they are given the cookie and redirected back to the page they initially tried to go to. I would like to create a Windows application that gets data from that...

Hi, I seem to be having a problem with my windows application. When I open or start my application it goes behind other opened windows. Let's say I opened the application from windows explorer, when the application has finished loading the focus goes back to the explorer instead of the application itself. Jon

I just started using Windows Live OneCare, I had been using Norton, but was unable to fix the problems I was having. I have yet been unsuccessful with OneCare as well. I keep getting the same warning from OneCare, one is for Adware, the other is for a trojan, I clean both, but almost immediatly, I get the same warning? My Windows Defender is also shut down, not by me as I have no idea how to do this(or to turn it back on), but am still...

I am looking for VBA code that will work with Access 2003 to enable dragging and dropping a file/folder name from Windows XP Explorer into an Access form's text box. This is a common functionality that most Windows programs have, so I'm suprised it's not easier to implement in Access/VBA. Through Google, I found two VB6 examples and one VBA example on the Access Web written by Dev Ashish. The VB6 examples used loops to keep checking...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
