I would like to generate non-modal popup windows from
ASP.Net code-behind. I have tried using Client Side
scripting like "function Test(){
window.open('test.htm',_blank,
'height=200,width=400,status=no,toolbar=no,
menubar=no,location=no resizable=no
scrollable=no');
but I can't seem to invoke the client side script from
within a Server Side Form. I know I can use the context
with to Response.redirect or Server.transfer to return a

I'm clearly missing something and I've been looking for a solution for hours
without a clue.
Objective: Create a typical "download" link using JS window.open. I get the
window to open, the "Save As" box appears, and the file ends up where I want
it, with the right name, the problem is that the child window doesn't go
away (save IE). Mozilla Firefox (PC and Mac), Safari, and all others I've
tested leave the child window. If I do a...

I have a page that opens a popup window and within the window, some databse
info is submitted and the window closes. It then refreshes the original
window using window.opener.location.reload(). The problem is that after the
reload, it brings you right to the top of the page. When I click 'refresh"
on the original page, it brings me back to the original viewing position.
Is there a way to duplicate this in from the popup window.
Also,...

I have an application that once you login it creates a new window using
script (see below). This window is the window the client needs to use to do
their work (don't ask why we need a window to pop up, it's a client
request). The obvious problem...POP UP BLOCKERS! I love them when I'm on
the web, but not when I'm creating an application where we need a new window
to come up client side. Any suggestions....
Thanks smart people

I have a form that updates and stays in the same window. That is the
desired behavior.
On this form I also have two buttons. I want those buttons to open up a new
window with information taken from another field. I tried putting those
two buttons in a form that has target="_blank", but it still came up in the
same window. (That form is inside the outer form).
I can make this happen if I put the forms one after another. The...

Hi everyone. I have just been making a JavaScript chat applet, which
should open in a new child window. It does all of this fine, and works
within Firefox beatifully. However, IE thinks it's necessary to stop my
iFrames from spaning the entire length and width of the Window, and add
about 7-8mm of padding/margin to the inside of the Window.
I can't figure out, whether it's adding it to the inside of the window,
or the outside of the...

Is it possible to open a pop-up browser window (modal-style) inside
another browser?
e.g.
// assuming something is calling this function inside the html as some
event got triggered
function doSomethingInDiffWindow() {
// do something
// open up a pop-up modal window
// continue back on doing something after pop-up modal window

I am not looking for a "hybrid" WPF/WinForm or WinForm/WPF solution, but
rather a pure WPF/WPFsolution.
I want to host a WPF window inside another WPF window. I want to host a WPF
window as a "control" inside another WPF window, much like a button is
hosted inside a WPF window. This may not be possible today in WPF, but that
is what I am trying to determine. Since WPF is a 1.0 product, perhaps the
answer is: wait for a more complete...

Hi everyone
I'v seen several websites doing what I'm asking now but I don't know how they do it.
Lets say we have an E-commerce website that has a shopping cart inside an IFrame which shows what products have been added.
Users should be able to add comments for each product inside the shopping cart (in the Iframe) .
When the user clicks on the product a new popup window opens which allows him to add the comment and then save.
But...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
