Hey all,
I would like to preface my question by stating I am still learning ASP.net
and while I am confident in the basics and foundation, the more advanced
stuff is still a challenge. Ok. :)

Hi,
I have a website that uses an ISAPI filter that will redirect anyone going
to any page on the site to an SSL login page (on a different website with
the same root domain) if they do not have the appropriate session cookie
already. After logging in on that page successfully they are given the
cookie and redirected back to the page they initially tried to go to.
I would like to create a Windows application that gets data from that...

with a WinForms app (which is the UI used to adjust the actions taken by,
and the schedule of the service), then a privileged user thread should be
used in the UI - no service required.
But...

Using multiple System.Timers.Timer objects in a Windows Service for
performing multi-thread activities in a periodic fashion. Timers are
AutoReset=false, to only have a single timer execution thread running at any
given moment.
Typically, timers will have an interval of 5 to 15 minutes. Conditionally,
the interval may be set to 1 second (1000 ms) before the next call to
Timer.Start().
Here is the question: if the interval is one...

FAQ Topic - How do I prompt a "Save As" dialog for an
accepted mime type?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
It is not possible with client-side JavaScript.
Some browsers accept the Content-Disposition header, but this
must be added by the server. Taking the form:-
` Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=filename.ext `

I've got an application running with table-based security: i capture
the user's windows login with fOsusername, then have them enter a
password checked against their username/login in my own table. The
problem is, they can't remember the passwords they've created, and I
spend more time than I want to resetting.
Here's what I'd LIKE to have happen: when the user opens the
application (Access2k), a dialog box appears with the windows...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
