in ie7 go to manage addons and disable those addons, then go into add/remove programs and see if its in the list and uninstall (unusally it isn't tho).

then use Process Explorer and look for the process that is running all these pop ups (you can get the name of the process or dll from ie7 where you disable them).

then restart the computer with the DVD in the drive and open the repair console, from there delete the dll file form the computer, it can't be done when windows loads (normal or safe).

***when deleting the file make sure you only delete that dll and nothing else
**if it doesn't work then a format might be the answer (what i did, cuz i didn't figure this out until it was too late).

I found an interesting JS technique being used by spurl.net and a few other sites, and implemented my own version of it. I like using it, but I'm rather surprised it works at all. One of my old backburner projects has been an online bookmark archive. The obvious advantage of keeping bookmarks on a remote host is that they are available from anywhere, not just the computer they were bookmarked from. My original approach was to use a...

Change the security level for macro virus protection by On the Tools menu, point to Macro, and then click Security. Click the Security Level tab, and then select the security level you want to use. However there is no Security option under the Macro option under

I have an MDB file which is secured using a custom MDW file. I'd like to have most users see only the shortened menu you see when you set the Startup option "Allow full menus" to False. But the administrator should be able to see the full menus, plus toolbars. The shift-bypass key is disabled; too many people know about it. If I allow toolbars at startup, I can't seem to set the visible property of either the "Form View" or...

I've just experienced something of a startling revelation. I thought I had my application reasonably well secured - I distribute only the MDE, use password login, have the database window hidden, with no bypass. I control access to reports through menus, and roles that I've set up in the application. Print preview anything. Form, report, anything - the toolbar that appears has a button on it - Database Window. Sure enough it opens...

I wanted to add a Combobox to a toolbar... Kind of the look you get on VisualStudio's toolbar. I've been able to find some VB 6 samples, but the placeholder option is no longer available for ToolbarButtons... Does anyone know how this could be done? Looking forward to hear from you,

I wanted to use md5 authentication method for my pg db. I was initially using a trust method and I noticed when I switched to md5 I had to assign a password to the user postgres as it was created without one. Here do I pass an md5 encrypted string? Also everytime I connect via perl's DBI do I have to pass it the encrypted string (if so which perl module for md5 encryption is the best to use?) I was confused as to whether I should create...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
