Guys,
I am using Windows XP Pro (SP1) and suddenly my printers (local & network) have disappeared from the Printers & Faxes menu.
If I try to re-install any printer I get an error message saying "operation could not be completed"
Does anyone know whats caused this and of any way of fixing this without having to re-load windows again ?
Thanks

Check your printer connections. Plug and play should be able to detect your printer if its not yet installed. If your printer is connected through your usb try plugging other things like flash drive to see if your computer detects your flash drive.
If it doesn't detect your flash drive, the problem might be in your usb.
have disappeared from the Printers & Faxes menu.
well, did anyone mess with the "system driver files ??"
i just recomend a "system restore" to the date BEFORE that happened..
you won't loose any "files" but, you will loose your system settings like..
if you changed your theme or sometthing...
no biggie.. i am sure you can change those back.

Have you tried updating to SP2? it has all kinds of fixes, maybe it'll help you
I have a similar problem. If I try to add a new printer using the "Add Printer" wizard, I get a dialog with the message:
"Printer driver was not installed. Operation could not be completed."
The dialog appears whenever I press the Finish button on the last page in the wizard. It doesn't matter what options I choose in the wizard - the problem happens regardless of what printer or port I select.
If I could just convince a couple of customers to switch OS's, I'd install Linux on all my boxes, burn all my Windows disks, and never look back. Very frustrating.

Go to the manufacturer's website and download the latest drivers and follow their instructions for properly install the printer.

This doesn't really seem to be a .NET or C# question. However, you may
want to look at the driver settings (printer properties). Usually when
what you're describing happens, it's because the printer driver is

It's more efficient for the driver to use font substitution, because then

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.

I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
