I've seen references to "alt + 0233 key", but I'm too scared to try it on my development machine. I'll fire up one of my test machines and get back to you.

[EDIT: Nope, nothing happened on that machine]

This is perhaps a bit off topic for this group, but I am using Internet Explorer 6 and I have noticed recently that when I hold the mouse over an image the Alt text is not displayed like it used to be. Does anyone know why this is and how I can fix it so that the Alt text is displayed? Thanks, Stephen

The war of the OSes was won a long time ago. Unix has always been, and will continue to be, the Server OS in the form of Linux. Microsoft struggled mightily to win that battle -- creating a poor man's DBMS, a broken email server and various other /application/ servers to try and crack the Internet and IS markets. In the case where they didn't spend their own money to get companies to

Perhaps, there is no bigger sleazy company in the entire Maple Republic ( Canada ) than Matrox Graphics Inc. I paid $100+ through my nose circa 1999 for Matrox Millenium II and Mystique. It works well under NT4.0 however, a month ago I upgraded to Win 98. Guess what? The main feature in the Matrox Inc Video cards was their desktop, and

My cat lay along the lower end of my keyboard while the computer was on - which turned the contents of the screen upside down! Re-booting and shutting down have failed to solve the problem. I also tried systems restore but that didn't work either, although I'm not sure if I was using it correctly. All the start-up data is the right way up, but everything goes upside down from Windows "Welcome" onwards.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
