This is sort of both Python and Vim related (which is why I've posted to
both newsgroups).
Python related:

I have been frustrated for quite some time with a lack of a history
command in IDLE (in fact with IDLE in general). Often I'll develop new
code at the command line, testing each line as I go. Currently I have to
copy and paste, removing outputs and the ">>>" at each line.
Is it perhaps possible to make...

Hi there,
We are using history.go(integer) to go back to the certain page
directly. Because there are some pages interaction in between. For
example, starting from page 1 to page 2. From page 2, it will reload
sometime, or go to page 3 and then go back to page 2 again. If we use
history.back, it will only go back to the previous page. So, we have
to use history.go in order to go back to page 1 correctly.
But there is some problem...

I am trying to print huge images (much bigger than target paper). I try
and use e.PageSettings.HardMarginX and e.PageSettings.HardMarginY in the
PrintDocument's PrintPage event to try and determine the maximum area
that I can print on. However, the edge of the image invariably gets cut
off, as if the HardMargin info is wrong. I posted the code below as I
can't understand what I am doing wrong. Is information in
e.PageSettings reliable?...

Making a History Page for BIG Sites
Intro:
Ok, let's say after a while your website has grown massive. We're talking search engine, forum and video hosting -- you've got a LOT of content. And you are wondering, "Why do I need yet another feature for my big site?"
Well, some people can become forgetful every time they see content on your site, and let's suppose that one day they needed to work on a good php script for their class and they...

I recently moved to ASPnet Ext 3.5
What I can't get with Ajax and History browser managemet is this:
User fills some fields (dropdown and textbox) on page 1 (all are in an
update panel)
User clicks Submit Button
I write the data into a DB
I add a history point with ScriptManager to be able to get back to this
point with browser back button
Page 2 is loaded with a response.redirect() command

I have an ASP.NET page that displays work orders in a GridView. In that
GridView is a checkbox column. When the user clicks a "Print" button, I
create a report, using the .NET Framework printing classes, for each of the
checked rows in the GridView. This works fine in the Visual Studio 2005
development environment on localhost. But, when I move the page to the web
server, I get the error "Settings to access printer...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
