OK, that list is pretty short. But I'm serious. After using and tweaking (going through that interminable list) IE for years, I've found that Firefox has more security with far fewer settings.

I want to make a little app that monitors cookies made by websites when I'm surfing. I'm going to use the FileSystemWatcher on %userprofile%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files and %userprofile% \Cookies. In the TIF directory there are some "special" attributes that display about cookies (well all the files in that dir) like Name (it will says Cookie:filename), Internet Address, Expires, Last Modified, Last Accessed, Last Checked. I...

I am attempting to create a c# program to iterate through the messages in an Outlook/Exchange public folder and extract the headers. My apologies to the VB/VBA groups, but you seem to have more information for Office automation than the c# groups. I am having some problems manipulating the various object models. I say various because based on what source code I could find, I am trying to use the Outlook, CDO and MAPI type libraries

Some how, some way the account that creates folders under Temporary Internet files has been changed to a domain account for VS 2003 and VS 2005. I recently installed VS 2005. All seemed to be ok afterwards. I did no development for a couple of weeks, came back and I kept receiving Access Denied to Microsoft.Net\Temporary Internet Files\... Access is Denied. ASPNET had full access to that file and all subfolders. The website I am...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
