Netscape freezing every 60 seconds

1 New Member
Hi,

I have netscape 8.1, and just today it started acting weird. About every 60 secons, the browser stops responding and about 60% of my CPU Usage spikes. It then unfreezes and the browser works normally again for about 60 more seconds. I have tried turning off all the controls and security settings, but I am at a loss as to why this just startedt o happen to a program i have been using easily for months. I have run a virus scan and adaware as well as regisrty fix. Nothing helps. Can anyone here?

Appreciate it,

Joe

Try a different browser such as Firefox or internet explorer just to make sure its not your internet connection or hardware failure.

Keep us posted.

Hello, I am having a problem where my computer is freezing when I run a ASP.net project. It freezes in the debugger, or if I try to run it as localhost. I cannot even access the windows Taskbar, or anything. I have to power off my computer. It is a brand new machine, XP Pro, VS.NET 2003. Other Notes:

Hi All, After PostgreSQL freeze some times, I am moving from 7.3.4 to 7.4.1, trying to solve this problem. When the daemon get frozen, I can't even use psql to browse a database (as if the database was down for some reason, or the daemon is not running). In these cases, a "pg_ctl -D /var/db stop" followed by

Most of my ideas seem usless or stupid, but I think expressing them here doesn't harm much. This is an idea for Py 3.0, because it's not backward compatible. Dicts and sets require immutable keys, like tuples or frozensets, but to me they look like a duplication. So the idea is to remove tuples and frozensets (and replace the few other uses of tuples with lists, like the % interpolation), and to add a freeze operation, to freeze lists,...

Starting yesterday evening, VS2K5 starting doing this thing were it will spike the cpu at 100% for a few seconds then every thing is fine and then another spike. It just keeps going like that cycle over and over. I'll be typing or something and everything freezes and the cpu is at 100%. I know it is the IDE because I can see its process in task manager. The OS doesn't freeze and I can still move the mouse around. Just the IDE. ...

I'm having some problems with forms freezing up on me. I have a front end linked to tables in 2 back ends. Users can open a form (quotes) which is linked to a table in be1. while adding a record to this form, the user can open a form (stations) linked to a table in be2 which will generate a price, text etc and insert info back into first form (quotes). This works. The problem is that every so often the user opens the 2nd form in...

Me memory game freezes after I click some cards. I seems to be random as to the number of clicks needed before it freezes. I posted the entire code, as I am not sure what is needed for help. I am new to Java Script, and trying to learn it as a hobby. I'm stuck! It matters not if cards match or not. The link to the game is here: http://www.tpgames.net/gaming/2/memory/MemoryWORK/jyzmemwork.html Thanks in advance! <!--

Hi All, I'm a little new to .NET and I'm having a threading issue I'm having a problem resolving/understanding. I'm making a plug-in into Word. A menu-option ('Check Updates') spawns a new thread which gathers information, and then displays a form (modal, 'ShowDialog'). Once the form is Close() 'd, it tries to run a system process - opens a website using: openWebsite(url)

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
