Hello,
I'm trying to do the above in order to process an image and return the
result to an html image control. It fails and my key suspects are either
the variable that I'm passing in - ImageName - for processing, or the return
data which is done (or not as the case may be) by imagejpeg($img) in the
script, after header("Content-type: image/jpeg").
Any insights would be most welcome, especially debugging techniques and a
pointer to...

I've an application in which I use to check out the date/time stamp of a data
base... and if I find that it has been updated, my application runs and does a
particular update.
Currently I fire off my application hourly useing the built in XP Scheduler.
What I am going to do is to have my application check every minute while it is
running as I don't want to have to wait up to a hour for my particular update
to happen....

I'm in the process of wiritng a custom AutoResponder that will run on a
spare PC.
If I don't write it as an actual "Service" but just a program that starts
via the startup folder, will that use any more (or less) resources than
doing it as a Service?
Is it worth the extra effort to do it as a service?

On my dev machine at home I login as Administrator and I have *NO*

I have a Windows Service developed in C# .NET. I'm making it a remote
server and I can, via an IPC Channel, expose methods and call them from a
client. However, I now want my remoted object to be able to invoke a method
on my server object and given that the object is built in a C# Class DLL
shared between the client and server I'm not sure how to get access to the
server object from the remoted object.

Hello,
I'v installed mysql 5.0
(MySQL-server-standard-5.0.27-0.rhel4.i386.rpm) on RedHat AS4.
When I start mysql through command line (i.e. /usr/bin/mysqld_safe
--datadir=/var/lib/mysql --pid-file=/tmp/mysql.pid & ), everything is
ok. But when I use "service mysql start" command launch it, mysql just
quit silently.

I have developed a Windows service application. I have used the deployment project to installed this service in services.msc. After restarting the machine, I tried to start the service. It gives me a System.TypeInitialization exception.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
