Combining Data

2 New Member
Sir/madam,
I am doing a project on admission procedure using VB6. I am facing certain problems regarding that.....

1) I have 3tables in access. among those one is master table, which i have connectd to all the required forms. Bt in my master table, one of the columns needs data to be generated as combination of data in 3 other columns, (for a single row). HOW DO I ADD DATA IN DIFFERENT CELLS TO A SINGLE CELL???

I have a requirment to take data from a large set of tables where the total number of these tables may change on a regular baisis and output into another table. All the tables willl have the same columns. Frequency is being debated but it maybe as much as once per hour. Example 1) I need to choose all the following tables select * from dbo.sysobjects where name like '_CPY%.

Hi all I need to add data from two Excel sheets (both on the same workbook) to an existing table in my SQL DB. The problem is that each sheet holds different fields for the same record, though the records are sorted by row numbers. (I had to split the fields to different sheets because Excel has a limit of 256 fields in each sheet) My sheets are quite large (~55,000 rows and 200 columns each) and I'll have to repeat this action many...

I've got a Union Query that pulls data from two different tables for chemistry and micro testing. The tables containing very similar data but for reasons not necessary here, cannot be put into one table (differing types of results mainly) However, both have date entry fields for varying time stations from an initial, 2 weeks, 1 month, 2 months through to 24 months. I've written a Union Query that pulls the dates into a sort of ...

I have 5 tables set up as follows: A-b-C-d-E Tables b and d are linking tables because A and C have a many-to-many relationship and so do C and E. I would like to set up a query whereby Access will tell me which records of E are connected to any single record of A that I specify. If this is too abstract, A = students (e.g. Fred Bloggs), C = classes (e.g. e.g. Maths Group B for a particular year of students) and E = teachers (e.g. Mr...

Hello All, I'm stumped with this one. I have a Database table ("PROD") and I have set up 2 different opens for it. As you can see I alias two of the columns in the first open. I run OpenST(), load a combo box for date selection. I then close the connection, and remove the dt from the dataset. Now I run OpenST1() and I want to get all the columns for those dates and items selected. In my testing I put a datagridview on the form and...

Hi, I am using MS Access 2003 on a Windows XP platform. I am wondering what the best way is to go about combining data from 4 tables. Here is a sample from all 4 tables, with what I would like my results be in in the table below called "TBL_Compiled". Any help is appreciated, and thanks! Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
