I have some images present in a sql server 2000 table stored under 'image' datatype. I want to extract and display them in a picture box present in a vb.net form

Does anybody have an actual example of retrieving an Image data type column
from a SQL Server table using a dataset (not a datareader)? I would like
to see the statements that would move the Image returned in the dataset to a
picture box, like:
For Each dr in ds.tables(0).rows
Pic.Image = dr("ImageColumnName") 'not this simple!

I want to convert a byte to a Image. I read in a newsgroup that the
best way is to use a MemoryStream. I tried it, but I get always a
Exception while creating the Image(An unhandled exception of type
'System.ArgumentException' occurred in system.drawing.dll. Additional

I have a problem with a page show_image.asp that returns a jpg image under
Windows XP Pro SP2. The page sets content type as:
Response.ContentType = "image/jpg"
While this works perfectly fine on most machines, on some machines I
experience this problem:
When loading the page a window pops up that asks if I want to open the

1) using the wrong Encoding
2) will have to System.Convert.ToBase64String the content of the

So I've read many forums that explained how to get an image out of SQL Server database and display it. I used an alternate .aspx page to retrieve the image and write it back as binary which everyone on many sites said to do. The problem is its not working.
My exact situation is that I am creating News Articles based on news entries which are either text or pictures. I want to display a picture in the datagrid if there is one....

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
