tblCourses one to many to tblEvents.
A course may have an intro workshop (a type of event), a mid course
workshop, a final exam. Or any combination. Or something different in the
future.
At the moment the printed output is usually going to Word. It's turning into
an unholy mess, because I'm having to prepare umpteen different Word
templates, and the queries that drive them, depending on what events a
course has.

I've seen plenty of articles on this topic but none of them have been
able to solve my problem.
I am working with an Access 97 database on an NT4.0 machine, which has
many Access reports.
I want my users to be able to select a report, click on a command
button on a form, which will then automatically create the report as a
pdf file and save it to the user's machine.
I am using Adobe Acrobat (5.0 I think) and have Adobe Distiller as a

Hi,
I am automating Access reports to PDF using PDF Writer 6.0. I've
created a DTS package to run the reports and schedule a job to run this
DTS package. If I PC Anywhere into the server on where the job is
running, the job runs sucessfully, PDF files got generated, everything
is good. If I scheduled the job to run at the time that I am not
logged into the server, Access is not able to print to the printer.

I have created a report with subform/subreports. I can see all the
data on the screen but when I try to print it to a printer or adobe
distiller I get 'The Microsoft Jet Database engine could not find the
obect ". Make sure the object exists and that you spell its name and
path name correctly.'. Everything prints expect for the last
subform/subreport. If I remove that subreport it prints fine. The
subreport prints by itself if I run it...

I am looking for Access reporting add-in that would be easy to use by
end users. My key focus is on selection criteria. I am very happy with
the Access report writer capabilities. As far as development of
reports, it is certainly fine in my book.
But for end-users, with little experience or training, it would be nice
to have an easy way to handle various selection criteria, perhaps with

Should I go about it in Access 2003 or 2007 ? Purchasing it either
for me or for my client is not a major consideration here ... what I'd
like to know is the stability, speed & ease of use of both the
products.
I believe Access 2007 has a new file format too and that it may be

I have a DB that I developed on access XP (2002) and deployed over a
year ago. No one has had problems printing any of the reports within
the DB until we started loading 2007 on new computers. The access
2007 users cannot print one of the reports. This is maddening since I
cannot duplicate the issue on any computer that runs 2003 or below.
Is there something going on that I'm not seeing? Does anyone have any
suggestions at all on...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
