"Runtime Error-429 ActiveX Component can't create Object". for COM+ Comp. on Win2003

1 New Member
Hi There!

Could anybody please help regarding the below issue.

We had a COM+ component deployed on Windows 2000/NT machine it was working fine, I mean when it was being invoked from other machines it was creating object and was serving the purpose. Recently as an upgrade we moved all the COM+ component from Windows 2000/NT to WINDOWS 2003 and now when we are trying to invoke that component its throwing "Runtime Error-429 ActiveX Component can't create Object".

Client side machines are running Windows XP with SP2, COM+ componenet was created as a server application. I doubt that it may be because of Windows 2003 security issues or am I missing something while building that component.

FYI: application is taking lot of time while login and throws the above error.

Please help or provide your suggestions.

I appreciate your help.

Thanks

We get this error once in a while - every 10 page hits or so... Failed to start monitoring changes to 'bla bla bla'. (Note blah = unc path + file name) We have a file server (win2003) hosting the files, and 2 web servers (win2003) running with virtual directories pointing to that unc share. I am sure it's not security as we would not be able to browse the site

Hi Everyone, I'm having this extremely annoying problem with Internet Explorer 6, giving me an error message saying "unknown runtime error" whenever I try to alter the contents of a <divelement using innerHTML. Now, I've researched this problem on the web, and found many references to it, but none of them quite addressed my specific situation, and since my experience with JavaScript is limited, I was not able to adapt the solutions I...

Hi, The error I am describing occurs with the script I've pasted below. It's a validator for form fields and prints a message into a span tag located beside the empty input tag. I have hard coded the error message to be printed in a specific span tag for testing. --> "<span id="name">www</span>" When this span tag is positioned BEFORE the input tag it works fine but when I place it after (which is the layout I want) it stops working...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
