I’m using a DataGrid control on my form; and I want to handle the KeyUp event.
So I did:
myDataGrid.KeyUp += new KeyEventHandler(this.OnKeyUp);
When the DataGrid is empty, I mean when It has no data so now rows are seen,
all keys are causing my this.OnKeyUp(...) to be invoked correctly.
But when the DataGrid is populated with some data (rows are seen with only
DataGridTextBoxes), only several keys are causing it to be invoked.

I am trying to use a datagrid to display/edit some database
information. I would like to use the datagrids inherent edit
capabilities to do it. I have setup the datagrid to display the data
properly and set up a function to save the data in the database using
the datagrids UpdateCommand event. I did this and everything worked
like a charm....
About a week later, I revisited the page and found now that the
datagrid's events are not...

PROBLEM:
When a user control is loaded into a PlaceHolder control more than once, the
events do not fire on the first click of a control on the dynamically loaded
user control. In other words, the first time the control is dynamically
loaded, everything works fine. After that, if the control is loaded again
from the page button event handler, the user controls events fail to fire on
the first click

Is the datagrid control sort and paging commands work only when both the
page and grid property EnableViuewState=True ?
when i tryed running the page when either one of them was set to false the
sorting or paging didn't work. i just got an black page and the commands
methods was not called.
I really wish i can work with the grid without the viewstate, performance
best practices recommend not to use view state.

Hello All,
I am working to create a generic datagrid which accepts a
datasource(ListData - This is our own datatype) and depending on the calling
program customizes itself for sorting, paginantion or accepting the add and
remove item events.
What i am observing is that none of the vents are happening... (Sort, page,
or item). I am sure I am missing something basic here... Need help... Thanks
