Creating a questionnaire, please help!

5 New Member
Hi there,

I am learning Visual Basic language through Visual Basic Express 2005, and am unfortunately having a tough time with it - it just doesn't seem to come intuitively to me.

I have to create a psychology questionnaire where the participant is displayed with 5 questions, and they have to select (using radio buttons) how strongly they agree on a scale of 1 to 7. Their score at the end corresponds to the amount their selection adds up to, so there is a maximum of 35 points, and an evalution box will be displayed corresponding with their score.

How do I assign a value to a radio button, and then get Visual Basic to add up the scores? It's probably really simple but I'm really stuck.

Thanks for your help :)

Hi!
I think this thread might be of help.
Thank you, that definitely does help. Does anybody know how I can make it mandatory to select at least one radio button for every question?

I think with an IF in then click event of your "Next Q" button:

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. if optionbox1.value or optionbox2.value or optionbox3.value then
  2.     'Code for going to next Q
  3. else
  4.     msgbox ("Please answer")
  5. end if

Dear Access Gurus, I have a database which I hoped to use to administer questionnaires, or rather that someone who knows nothing about Access could use to administer them. Each q'aire item is on a different form and I dropped in command buttons on each to move forward and backward through the "pages" of the q'aire. Problem is, the first record in the common underlying table is overwritten each time we go through the q'aire. (The code to...

Hi, I'm trying to develop a questionnaire...basically a user can pick one of 5 questionnaires they want to use, and based on their choice, those questions will appear in their form. So the database table contains all the questions/radiobutton selections in one table (well, a view), and they are related to their respective questionnaires based on a form ID. Now, How do I populate a RadiobuttonList, AND label above the

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
