Hi folks, i've searched and searched and can't find any example of
what i'm trying to do. Essentially (i think) i need to add a new
operator to Number.
I'm using eval to evaluate expressions that can be entered by users,
these expressions are defined by another app so i can't change the
format of the expressions. I've managed to support the majority of
operators by supplying my own functions that wrap the equivalent Math
functions but...

I am doing so data validation, and need to check if a filed contains a
valid date in the format of "YYYY-MM-DD"
I would like to know if it is possible to convert this series of If's
to a Select Case. I am having trouble incorporating the various
functions (len(), isdate(). The IF's work, but I know this could be
better and more flexible. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Experts,
Ok, I hate to ask such a seemingly dumb question, but I've
already spent far too much time on this. More that I
would care to admit.
In Sql server, how do I simply change a character into a number??????
In Oracle, it is:

Hello!
I have a developer that is playing around with some SQL statements
using VB.NET. He has a test table in a SQL 2000 database, and he has
about 2000 generated INSERT statements.
When the 2000 INSERT statements are run in SQL query analyzer, all
2000 rows are added to the table. When he tries to send the 2000
statements to SQL Server through his app., a random number of
statements do not get executed. But, SQL Profiler shows that...

All,
I rely on nested IF statements with multiple conditions heavily, and
someone suggested recently writing the statements (and especially
reading them months later) would be much easier if I used Case
statements instead.
I've read several different examples of Case statements, but can't
quite figure out the syntax, or if they can be used when you need to
test for a pair of conditions, as I am doing below.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
