Hi there....
I have an ASP routine that I'm writing which updates an Access database with
a user name, the file name, etc. all done through parameter processing and
SQL functions.
I do not use any HTML form processing at all, i.e. <INPUT TYPE="FILE"
etc...> processing. In actuality, I'm not using HTML at all. All is done
with request.querystring and comparing these to database fields...

Hi, I am having a problem with an attachment system I made... it works with
files up to ~3MB in size then after that if you try to upload a file it just
goes to a "Page can not be displayed" page like it tried to do it but
errored... I thought changeing the max size for the file input box to about
100mb would fix it but nope
here is my page code and my code behind code...

I am creating an upload/download function for an extranet site. Files will
be uploaded to directory based upon the users login and associated project.
The function works as long as I use "c:\Temp" as the directory. When I use
any other hard coded directory or even Server.MapPath() the upload function
fails and returns the error: "Exception has been thrown by the target of an
invocation." Once I change the root directory to "c:\Temp",...

Is there any way to detect the specific version of an MS Office document
when accepting it from an upload?
I'm creating a mini-document upload tool for people to manage some MS-office
centric documents for public consumption. Ideally, I'd want people to save
these files back a few versions for the best accessibility. I was going to
simply have a pulldown where they select the version the file is, but if I
could detect it automatically...

I’m trying to upload a file to a Web Service. I have to submit the file
using a standard HTML form with the <input type=“file” /tag. Ultimately,
we are submitting the file from a Flash 8 application that uses Macromedia’s
flash.net.FileReference class. The FileReference class behaves like a
standard HTML form with the file input tag.
I know there are other options for submitting files through Web Services,
but we’re not able...

How to Upload a File in Coldfusion
Use the cffile tag for uploading files to the server.
Note that allowing people to upload files is fraught with danger and only trusted users should be allowed to upload files. Checks should be made to make sure that only allowed file types are uploaded.
The Client-Side
First of all, let us deal with the client side. This assumes some knowledge of HTML.

Note: You may skip to the end of the article if all you want is the perl code.
Introduction
Uploading files from a local computer to a remote web server has many useful purposes, the most obvious of which is the sharing of files. For example, you upload images to a server to share them with other people over the Internet. Perl comes ready equipped for uploading files via the CGI.pm module, which has long been a core module and allows users...

Have you ever wanted to upload files through a form and thought, "I'd really like to use ASP, it surely has that capability, but the tutorial I used to learn ASP didn't mention how to do this."? Have you looked around trying to find simple solutions but didn't want to wade through pages of complex code? Have you balked at paying for premade solutions that are probably overkill for your particular project?
I'd like to walk you through the...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies.
