Hello --
I am using Enterprise Architect, a UML modeling tool, which is built on a
pre-Access 2000 mdb. The database describing the model has the extension
".eap".
I want to build some queries, reports, etc., on this model and want to store
them in a separate mdb.
Is there a way to link to objects in an Access database that has a non-"mdb"

I need to programmatically create a link to a table in an MDB on a CD, so I
can read data from it.
Access objects that it can't create an LDB file in the same directory as the
MDB.
Is there any way I can write the linked table's Connect property (I'm using
DAO) to force exclusive access for this MDB? (That way no LDB would be
necessary.)
Or is there another solution possible?

Currently i have database MS Access. In the database there are some
Reports already designed. i am developing interface in VB and linking to
MS Access database.
My Problem is to access/Link the Reports made in MS Access. So that
i just click on the button in VB interface and its Open the report from
MS Access.

from my local database so i do not need to down-/upload the database
each time i want to make changes.
Meanwhile i want a external partner to access (just read) another
database on my web.
I have tried with "link tables" but do not succeed. Help please!

I am writing a little routine to perform the following operations from an
Acces 97 mdb:
1. create a fixed width text file
2. create/establish a table type link to the text file in Access
3. allow the user to view the text contained in the text file via an Access
form.
I have been able to achieve this, albeit with one major limitation. That is
that the name of the text file needs to be known prior to runtime. In other

I know this works for Access 97. Not sure about other versions.
This will create a DSN to a SQL server in your ODBC connections and
then link a table of your choise from that SQL DB to the Access
Database. You could modify it anyway you like. Such as passing
variables to the values you have to change vs. manually typing them in.
Microsoft uses a table to pass the data here...

I have some Oracle views linked in an Access database ¬ this is the good part. Now I try to link to an Access query from other database (still Access) but I have no clue how.
I'm a bit frustrated since I can have a link to Oracle views but not to an ACCESS query. I try to make an ACCESS page ¬ succes, but when I try to link to that html file => no data but scrap.
So please somebody have an ideea ?
