Is there any interest in a (hypothetical) standard graph API (with
'graph' meaning a network, consisting of nodes and edges)? Yes, we
have the standard ways of implementing graphs through (e.g.) dicts
mapping nodes to neighbor-sets, but if one wants a graph that's
implemented in some other way, this may not be the most convenient (or
abstract) interface to emulate. It might be nice to have the kind of
polymorphic freedom that one has with,...

Hi .. I have an issue I have been beating my head against
the wall on for some time. I am trying to use late
binding for MS graph so that my end users don't have to
worry about having the right version of the MS Graph type
library. Up until now I have been walking them through
the process of setting the references to include their
version of MS Graph library.
My problem is that I can not seem to get the syntax
correct .. or perhaps...

Is MS Graph really completely useless in Access 97?
I uninstalled and re-installed to get the Office 97 version of MS
Graph, but I see no way whatsoever to insert dynamic data into the
chart. The wizard has got to be the worst wizard I've seen in
Access, because it assumes way, way too much about what you want.
And then when you click FINISHED, what you get has absolutely
nothing to do with what you chose for the graph.

Hi
Please see the below code that is used within a web system to show a line graph.
Currently, whatever value I have in column 1 is being shown as a line, and whatever is in column 2 is being shown as a vertical bar.
What I want to do is to reverse this, therefore, column 1 = bar, and column 2 = line.
I cannot work out .....how to do this..... the pcxml appplied is:

Access 2003 (previous 2000)
Windows XP Pro
I am fairly new at VBA within Access, learning as I go thorugh forums and discussion groups. I generally find my answers through previous posts, but I have been unable to find how to specifically refer to properties within a graph object.
Below is a snippet of code from my module in which the graph ('chart_DataSet') is in a subform ('frm_sub_Chart') that is contained within a control...

Having plotted a graph from x,y co-ordinate to x,y co-ordinate, the graph
disappears immediately (after the last plot). Writing " " to a label, in
between subsequent plots, solves this problem. Could someone please shed
some light on the cause of this?
Thank you,
Adrian.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
