This is a long shot, but I thought I'd try it. I am currently using excel as an inventory tool. I currently have a hand-held scanner plugged into a laptop for reading barcodes. Using the "Find and Replace" fuction, I scan the merchandise which then searches the spreadsheet for the matching inventory number. When it is found, I highlight that cell in yellow. After scanning and coloring all of my inventory I can then see exactly what is unaccounted for. Using this program has definately helped speed up the entire process but I still feel I could save significant time in this process. I'm mostly self taught using excel, and I'm not bad with formulas. But I think it's going to take more to get this to work. What I would like is a macro that incorprates the "Find and Replace" fuction so that when I scan the merchandise sku into the "Find and Replace" dialogue box, it will automatically fill that cell yellow when found and return me to the "Find and Replace" dialogue box with no further clicking on my part. Currently I have to scan the barcode, then click the "Fill Color" Button, then reclick on the "Find and Replace" Dialog box and then delete the old number before I can continue with the next item. It sounds kind of petty, but would save a ton of time in the long run. Like I said, I'm thinking this is a long shot, but I thought I'd let you experts have a go at it.
Thanks,
Mike

I'm trying to "html-ise" some text, where an empty line should be
interpreted as a paragraph break.
I thought that
$text = str_replace("\n\n", "</p><p>", $text);
would work, but that doesn't find anything to replace in my strings, and
$text = str_replace("\n", "</p><p>", $text);
gives me too many paragraphs, of course.
As an example of what I want, this message should be divided into three

I have seen this syntax and would like to know weither var_name is entirely
filled with zeroes or only a first few bytes are zeroed (for example the
first field of the structure).
I have of course tried it with MSVC and it seemed to fill the entire
structure, but is this the norm? Where can I find more informations?
thanks in advance,
Fred

Hello all,
Can someone confirme that this:
var strURLpiece = "UK & Ireland";
strURLpiece.replace("&", "%26");
replaces all occurrence of the character & by %26 in strURLpiece, ie
that strURLpiece becomes "UK %26 Ireland" ?
Thanks a lot.

Hi,
I would like to replace "\r\n" by "_" within a specific string.
I tried :
strMyString.Replace('\r', '_');
strMyString.Replace('\n', '_');
or
strMyString.Replace(System.Environment.NewLine, '_');

Private NameLastFirst as object = "Public, John Q."
NameLastFirst = Replace(LastName, "'", "''")
If NameLastFirst contains "Public, John Q." before the above Replace, it
will contain "Public" after the Replace. At least that's how it's working
in my version of VS.NET. That does not seem right to me. Am I missing
something?
Note that the replacement character(s) are *apostrophes*, not *commas*

hello all,
does anyone know if, for a 2-state checkbox, you can use the "fill in"
marker from the 3-state checkbox, instead of a checkmark
i just like the look of the "fill-in" instead of the checkmark
Thanks,

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
