I have a PHP script that would read in a binary file and display it as if it
were <img src>, how would you do that w/o changing the header's MIME type?
The entire file does not need to be changed.
Thanks
Phil

Hi there,
I am trying to store data in a text file and output it to the browser
using PHP. All very easy - if I was using English! the problem is, I
want to use Japanese and I'm finding it a tad difficult to get PHP to
understand. I have two files, a text file containing data to display
and a php file with a script to display the data. I can get the
contents of a text file displayed in English, no problemo, but in
Japanese, it's another...

Hi there, a while ago, I posted a question regarding reading japanese
text from a text file.
Well, since I solved the problem, I thought I'd post my solution for
the benefit of other people with the same problem.
The plan was to make a script to read and display japanese text. I
will use it for making a japanese proverb script and for a japanese
language study script.

This may be too far off topic, however I was looking at this page
http://www.hixie.ch/advocacy/xhtml about XHTML problems by Ian Hickson.
It is served as text/plain, according to Firefox

I am trying to read Http request body values NOT form values
The content type is text/xml and its POST
I am posting data from Infopath to an asp.net page.
In ASP it works by just writing Response.Write(request) the same does not
work in ASP.NET
I tried using Rquest.BinaryrRead() and Request.InputStream but it gives me
text values as space separated (eg Karthik yyyy aaaa) whereas the data i am
looking out for is in XML format.

Hi
Our company has a .Net web service that, when called via asp.net web pages
across our network works 100%! The problem is that when we try and call the
web service from a remote machine, one outside of our domain, we get the
error.. ** Client found response content type of 'text/html;
charset=Windows-1252', but expected 'text/xml' **. We can discover the web
service by typing in the url of the asmx so we know the server can 'see' it...

My task is to read html files from disk and save them onto SQL Server
database field. I have created an nvarchar(max) field to hold them.
The problem is that some characters, particularly html entities, and
French/German special characters are lost and/or replaced by a
question mark.
This is really frustrating. I have tried using StreamReader with ALL
the encodings available and none work correctly. Each encoding handles
some characters...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
