Coding / Communicating with a MDI forms scrollbars

This is probably a very easy one but I just can't put my finger on the
communicating events name:-

I have a MDIform with a couple of child forms. The child forms scroll
vertically at run time using the automatically supplied scrollbars of the
MDIform. When scrolling , or immediately after scrolling, the child forms I
want a procedure to be called. How do I do this??.

I have tried the MDIform_MouseUp event and this works correctly when I click
the MDIform but not when I click or use the MDI's scrollbars, Help!

My problem was to do with runtime drawings, placed in a picturebox on a
child form, being erased during scrolling.

I have now found the solution, thanks anyway.

Okay, you are all so smart in here. Answer me this: IE6 in standards mode doesn't seem to hide scrollbars on the body element (overflow:hide) Ain't this a quandary. I have it in my head that I need to specify html instead. The scrollbars do hide on Gecko browsers though, so there is definitely a disagreement among browser developers on how to implement scrollbars (as a side note, Gecko browsers with their notoriously bug-ridden...

I have a form where a user will check boxes next to items that have been completed. They will click a button on the form to mark the items as completed. When they do this, I will have the 'parent' form instantiate another form where the details of this completed event will be entered. Once the data is entered on this 'child' form, the data entered should be updated/added to the database. The 'child' form also has 'Cancel' and 'Cancel All'...

I am having some difficulty in making a form of greater size than the screen resolution. I have researched the matter and it seems that creating forms that are larger is simply not possible. I am therefore using scroll bars to navigate up and down the form. My form has many similar data entry "areas" each containing the same controls and input boxes. These appear one after the other vertically on the form, and all but the first are...

Hi, I am having a problem with formatting the default value of a date field. It has been discussed earlier in many topics, but still I cannot solve the problem. What's happening: I have various forms which are based on an ODBC-linked tables. In one of the forms, I have a control which shows the date of a date field in my database (storage type=date). The default value for the control is set to '=Date()', the format property is set to...

Hi all, I've got a windows service that depends on some other services. On the project installer I state this by using: Me.myService.ServicesDependedOn = New String() {"Print Spooler", "Net Logon", "Network Connections"} The problem: If the server is not an english version I have to translate the service names. Here is how I do it for portuguese and "other" (english):

Hello all, In a program I'm writing for my PocketPC, I have this form to which I add a variable number of special UserControl-based controls before displaying it based on the number of items in the file the user has chosen. The idea is that if the chosen file has more items than can be show, the form will just scroll up and down. If my UserControl is less than the client width, or even the exact same width, when I get to the point...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
