Hey people, I have to convert MS Access 2000 database into mysql database, the whole thing being part of this project I'm doing for one of my faculty classes. My professor somehow presumed I knew db's and gave me long list of things to do with that particular database, first thing being that particular conversion. Truth is that I don't know a first thing about db's, let alone using mysql... I downloaded mysql form www.mysql.com and...

Any help would be grateful :-) Problem: When I test my installation of Access 2000 MDE, I get the following error: "Unrecognised Format".. This means that Access 97 cannot read Access 2000. But I was under the Impression that Access 2000, could be redistributed using Install Shield 7 and that it would not effect the workstations current status. My Current senario is:

We have a database with Access 97 as the front-end and SQL7 as the back end. It is on a network server and accessed by joining a MS Access Workgroup. We are trying to add a new user and have purchased Access 2000 for their computer. We are now being told that they will not be able to view, or make entries, queries because Access 2000 is not compatible with Access 97 and the workgroup will not allow two versions of Access to be...

Hi, If we want to compile an Access 2002 database and distribute it to others, will the compiled software run on any PC, like Windows 98, Windows 2000, etc. Also, you don't have to have Access 2002 in order to run it do you? Thanks!

....or lack thereof... I use Access 2000 which I own as part of Office 2000 Professional. I've had enough trouble with glitches to ask if these are common occurrences - 1. Sometimes the "Help" system won't start. Sometimes it will. It starts more often than not. I don't see any pattern to when it does or doesn't. If the Access "help" won't start, the Visual Basic "Help" usually won't start either. This glitch has been going on for...

Does anyone know of any potential problems running a 2000 database with 2003? Also, what about installing all other Office products as 2003 versions but leaving Access as 2002 running a 2000 database? Why you ask! A client has a 2000 database. Currently using 2000 runtime for most employees to work with database. A couple use 2003 to use database, no problems. They have a mix of versions of other products such as Word, Excel - 97,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
