VB.NET + Crystal report .

I got this error when I preview report in Vb.net "Unknown query Engine
Error"
Is that my crystal report got something wrong ???
or my SQL server is too slow to response ??

I can tell you that working with Crystal Reports and Vb.NEt is really a pain
in the ass if you are going to do something complex... If you have time to
change your mind, do so and choose another reporting option (for example
wait for SQL server 2005 maybe) .. but if you need to keep with Crystal...
check their site and also search on Experts Exchange... you get a lot of
answers there.

I have gotten unknow query engine error a couple of times and it's real
yhard to say what to look for. My problems have been everythng from DataType
conversion problems to Windows Langugae settings on the PC running the
Crystal Engine... you need to give a lot more information before we can
guess on this one..

I have to agree with Lars, Crystal reports can be fun, but for complex
things you will be doing a lot swearing. One site that can help you is the
crystal reports knowledge base.

Thanks Lars, The problem seems happened occasionally. I test my progream
again, and didn't touch anything, It can preview the report very well,
However, if I click to preview the report and then click somewhere e.g
outlook express. excel, the problem may occured.
