I have a relatively straight forward report. The query that populates
data for this report is complicated. The report opens without any
problem and I can print it as well.
However, If I have another form open (has about 12 combo boxes) and
then I run the report, it appears on the screen, no problem. When I
print the report, I get 'Cant open any more databases' error.
I am using OpenQuery method to run some queries before opening the...

I have an Access 97 database, quite large, and have started getting the
error, Error 3048: Can't Open any more databases.
-The data is split from the application (front end and back end).
-The application has a fair bit of VBA
-The Data database resides on a network server
-Generally there are 3-4 front-ends attached at any one time
The application has run happily in its current state, aside from
incremental changes, for over 5 years. I...

I have recently updated my database to include a postcode recognition
function. And to perform calculations based on that recognised value.
The query that makes all these calculations is very large and takes a
good while to run (up to a minute?). (But I need all this data in one
query so it can be reported in one report.). My problem now is I enter
my client details screen and then click to go through to their records
(which involves...

I've created a page ancestry (framework) for our application so that all
pages in our app would have the same look and feel. To do this, I created
several user controls (header, footer, menu, etc.) and then a C# class which
inherits from System.Web.UI.Page. In the OnInit() method of this class, I
dynamically load these user controls using the 'this.Controls.AddAt()'
method (as well as call the base.OnInit() method to load the objects from...

Hello,
When I copy a VB web app from my workstation to my laptop (which has the
exact same software as the workstation) or to a different virtual directory
on the same workstation and then try to open the vbProj at this new location,
I get the error message that it can't open the app because some components
may be missing. If I create the same project at the new location from
scratch, it runs fine.
Is there a configuration or some...

Hi guys,
I'm new to Oracle and I need to transfer some scripts from Oracle to SQL SERVER. I've done most of them but this is where I'm stuck:
1. How do I put OPEN FOR USING in Sql Server?
ex:
OPEN MyCursor FOR SEL || FRM || WHR || ORD
USING PATNUMBER,, SORDERTYPESTR, SORDERTYPESTR, SSTATUSSTR,, SDATE;
2. How do I put FOR LOOP in SQL SERVER?

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
