When I sent this to hotmail using a kind of direct send method from an email
component. They get the mx server from hotmail.com which is mx{1-4}.hotmail.
com and send email directly to it.
I got this error on my email header.
X-SID-Result: TempError
Does someone understand what is the meaning of this?? below is one example

I have a bit of code in a functions that sends a .Net mail message
asynchronously.
emailClient.SendAsync(EmailMessage, 0)
I don't really want to wait for the return status of the messages, so this
normally tests out fine BUT
When testing it I use my localhost as the smtp server. I can send an e-mail
to my normal e-mail address and I get it with my outlook but it won't send

i have this mail() function which works fine but i've tested it with
hotmail where i use hotmail email address for sender and receiver also
hotmail. If I type in a not existent email address for sender and a
right address for receiver, the email is not sent. But if I use
non-existent email and yahoo receiver email, then the mail is delivered
correctly. What's with hotmail? Is there something I can do to prevent
it with mail()...

server. I wrote a C++ version using pure socket programming and SMTP
protocol, a VB version using CDO and a C# version using
System.Net.Mail. Now all of them works great with any email account but
hotmail. So here is the C# code:
