Go to url(variable text) on button click?

1 New Member
I want to have the browser to be directed to a certain url upon button click with the text inserted into the textbox place into the url, and I'm stumped.
for example-
http://www.google.com/#hl=en&source=h p&q=(Variable text here)&aq=f&aqi=&aql =&oq=&gs_rfai=& pbx=1&fp=3318d7 1742fc0392

No this isn't what I'm trying to do, but it gets the idea through.

Hello All, I have a search text and button that post data and my button handler filters the repeater control. However when the button is clicked the first time. The page_load event is being called twice, once with postback true, and second time without postback. This only happens for this button. How can I sort out this issue, any clues what to look for to get this sorted please. <p>Search Bookmarks: <asp:TextBox ID="txtSearch"...

I have a server side button that needs to do some preperation and afterwards, if everything goes well, open a new browser with a specific url. I know how to execute javascript from a server side control, adding the javascript to the attributes. I need to open the browser window AFTER the code behind event is finished. For example I have two text boxes on the form, whose values I want to send as parameters to the URL that I want to...

I'm new to ASP.net programming so excuse my ignorance if the following question seems overly simplistic. I've created a simple Login form with 3 primary WebControls: - A TextBox for the Username - A TextBox for the Password - A Button labelled "Submit" If the user enters a correct username/password combination then he's taken to another page. But if either or both are incorrect then a simple message

I have a simple VB ASP.NET 2.0 page with a Button and a Label. The Label text is "0". For each click of the button (btnAdd), it should increment the Label text by 1. The code: Protected Sub btnAdd_Click(...) Handles btnAdd.Click Trace.Warn("Before add: " & lblCounter.Text) lblCounter.Text = (Int32.Parse(lblCounter.Text) + 1).ToString Trace.Warn("After add: " & lblCounter.Text)

I'm new to JavaScript and I wrote this code to play with. Oddly, if I enter text in a box and then press the button, I only get the onChange event for the text box and not the button's onclick event. But if I press the button without entering text first, the button click event does work. What's up? <html> <body> <h3>Events on Buttons and Text Boxes</h3>

This is a weird problem.. I have a page with a textbox and a button (along with a bunch of other stuff). Both the textbox and the button have their SEPERATE events defined for the textchanged and click events. When I change the text in the textbox the textchanged event is called as expected. But the button click event is also called!? Whats with that?!

Hi I have couple of dropdown controls each with a requiredfieldvalidator. I clear the dropdownlist in the button click event. When the page is rendered the dropdown validator already flags it's error message. I checked the IsValid property in the prerender event and it says it's false. protected void Button_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { ddl.ClearSelection();

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
