We have developed a .NET application that runs fine on most of our
Windows XP systems. There are two systems in particular that lock up
quite frequently, but only when running our application.
The computer is in an unusable state when the OS freezes. Some
symptoms include an unresponsive mouse cursor and unresponsive
keyboard lock LEDs. The only way out is the reset button.
I'd like to know why this is happening, but I don't know how...

I have code that instantiates a sqlserver object and starts a job. I
have used this on numerous XP workstations successfully, when I tried
to move this to a Windows 2000 Application Server attached to a Small
Business Windows 2003 network and run the code, I am receiving the
error:
Automation Error. The Operating System Cannot Run %1.

Hey folks,
I've got a C# Windows application that needs the ability to send emails. It
should behave the same way as when you click on a mailto link through a web
browser (i.e. open up the user's default mail client and start a new email).
How would I do that in a Windows C# application? It must be compatible with
Outlook 97-2003.
Thanks a lot!

Hi,
- I'm trying to load a large file (about 300MB) using pickle.load().
- The file contains a PyMl classifier object
- When I load the file on my PC it works fine (with an XP operating system).
- When I load the file on a remote computer with a windows server 2003 operating system I get a memory error.
Anyone has any idea how to fix this?
Thx,
Tal.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
