Greets,
Part of the content of one of our web pages uses wingdings and Chr(239)
through Chr(242) (which are little arrow outlines, though that's not really
important.)
It worked just fine in Windows 2000 Server, but now under Server 2003 it
seems that characters above 127 get converted somehow, and our code no
longer produces the desired effect.

Hi
How can I get the clipboard content from Notepad to my page ?(For pasting I use the dhtml method document.execCommand('Paste', true, null) and it works fine - but I need the clipboard content without calling "Paste" option).
Thanks,
Zana

I have a user control being used instead of a frame page. when the user
clicks on a menu item I need to send the ID (integer value) of that menu as
a parameter in the postback of the user control which will be used to query
sql server to repopulate the datagrid in the user control.
I also wrapped the user control in a panel element so I could position it on
the page.
I'm clueless on how to get started with this.

Hi;
I have a page where the file.aspx.cs Page_Load() method writes the entire
contents out directly. I use this to write a pdf or rtf file as the web page
to display.
In .net 1.1 the way I did this was:
Response.ContentType = contentType;
Response.BinaryWrite(((MemoryStream)proc.GetReport()).ToArray());
Response.End();

Hi,
Does anyone know if it is possible to put an aspx page inside of another? OR
run an aspx page and capture the output as a string and then write this out
to a page....
So for example say you have a page that takes an id number as a query string
and displays different things based on that id number.
If you were able to loop through running the aspx pages with id=100, id=200,

I have been working on an all AJAX/DOM web site which is set to go live today and I thought I'd share my discoveries with all of you whom have helped me when I have encountered different issues along the way.
First, deep linking is not something that a completely AJAX web site should be able to do by it's very nature of everything being on one page basically. So how can a person deep link to something that is on one page?
This question...

asp.net 2.0
Well until I started looking for how to do this I figured it would be very
easy and lots of information out there. Maybe I'm not looking in the right
places.
I have some code in VB that's creating a list of names and populating a
literal control on the page. I'd like to put a button on the page that let's
the user copy the contents of the literal to the clipboard. As I write this
I'm thinking this probably needs to be...

I am writing a script that executes a bunch of queries through a form
on a website and reads the results. I am only interested in the
<titlesection in the <headof each web page. Currently, each page
the server returns is about 100kb and contains a bunch of HTML and
Javascript, all of which I don't need; I don't want to waste bandwidth
or consume too much of the server's resources. I just need the <title>
string.
Is there any way to...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
