This is a best practices question.
For a website where PHP is used, does it make sense to have both .htm and .php
files? In other words, for pages that have no active content there's no point
in naming them with a .php extension.
Is there any advantage or disadvantage to making all files .php, or the same for
mixing them with .htm files?
What do you do, and why?

I need help with writing a script that returns a zip file.
if(1 == $download){
// Setup headers for zip file
// Return zip file
// Afterwards, display previous php page
}
Can you help with fleshing out the function. I think I have the basic
idea of what needs to be done, but I don't know what the syntax is.

I've noticed that using set_charset() on an email.Message instance will not
replace any existing Content-Transfer-Encoding header but will install one
if it isn't yet present.
Thus, if you initially create a message without a charset, it defaults to
us-ascii, and creates both Content-Type and Content-Transfer-Encoding
headers (the latter of which defaults to "7bit").
If you then later attempt to change the charset (say, to...

I used to do this all the time in HTML-table layouting. How do I do
this in CSS?
--------------------------------------------------
<table width="400px">
<tr>
<td bgcolor="beige">one line of text</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td bgcolor="#eeeeee" align="center">this is another line of
text</td>

Hi,
I need some CSS layout guidance because I think I've been staring at
this too long!
I designed my layout using Photoshop, then sliced everything up and
saved as a CSS web page.
My problem arises when I started re-coding the html and CSS. My
graphics begin to break up at the bottom with large gaps and wrong

As on old time raw html coder I am still struggling to grasp the nuances of
css. But, I'm getting there... however slowly!
I am currently having a problem I've spent way too much time on and I was
hoping someone with these skills might be able to assist or at least point
me in the right direction?
I am using a four box layout (header, left nav, right content, footer) and

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
