Xah Lee, 2006-12
This page shows a example of writing a emacs lisp function that creates
a Google Earth file, and creates a link to the file, as well a link to
Google Map. If you don't know elisp, first take a gander at Elisp
Basics.
I often write travelogs on my website. If i traveled to Las Vegas, then

I have been looking at the Microsoft Virtual Earth SDK. As far as I
can see I have to incorporate it in a web page using a control based
on Javascript through web services
It being a Microsoft control I assume that I can access it directly
from asp.net. I am thinking it will be easier to incorporate it if I
can use asp.net.
I would be grateful if someone could advise me on this,

Iam a php/mysql developer. I wanna know whether staying in php and
mysql forever would affect my future. Most s/w people are in either
java or dotnet. Iam novice in both of them. I love php and i dont
wanna shift from it. Please tell me whether staying as a php developer
is good enough to have a settled future in spftware industry. Pro's
and Con's respected.

Hi,
I'd like to write a python script to control Google Earth,
and I've read that Google Earth provides a COM api, and that
Python has a COM module 'pythoncom'.
Anyone know where to get pythoncom from - as a separate module,
because I'm using the Python application that comes with my GPS
chip, from Telit :-

Hello,
I am trying to do paging and Virtual Earth on the same page. I want to have the ten results on each page mapped with Virtual Earth. I can't figure out how to go through the results a second time so I can add them to the Virtual earth map. Is their a way to iterate through the paged datasource twice so I can map my locations as well. Right now I am doing my paging like this in C#:
void doPaging()

I've just finished assembling the company website - I've already been paid
for it - for two days' work.
But, since I'd like to be thorough, I'd like to have it tested by a wide
variety of browsers, so as to not restrict our potential customer base.
This is not a solicitation for business - I doubt if anybody on these
NGs has a use for heavy manufacturing! :-)
Oh, I've crossposted this, but am sending followups to

Hi, hoping someone can help out with what's a simple question.
I am using the ASP.NET VE map control here on a site, which I am still
developing. I'm putting picture icons on a map:

I am using the ASP.NET VE server control in 3d mode, as you see. I can
specify an overhead view that is accurate using the following declaration.

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
