Hello,
I am developing an application for Windows 2000 and Windows XP. I plan on
installing the application under The 'Program Files' folder. My application
generates some log files as well as several types of data files. I know that
I cannot create/write to files under the 'Program Files' folder unless I am
a power user or an administrator. I would like my application to be run by a
normal user. What are the best practices for choosing...

Does anyone know how to have the standard order icons you quite often
see above a listbox or list view. These controls allow you to change
the order of the selected item within the list box/ list view. Is there
an easy way to implement ways or what is the standard way. I was hoping
that dotnet would have a property associated with the list box/ list
view but didn't see any. Thansk for any help !
cheers,
Des.

I have developed several databases in Access. I know VBA. I am making the
jump to VB and am currently using Visual basic 2005 Express.
Can anyone give me a snippet that will show me how to list the contents of a
directory in a listbox.
If you could also point me toward a good beginners VB 2005 book or website I
would appreciate it.
Regards,

I'm writing code to compare two directories side-by-side, like
FolderMatch or FolderSync.
I've used ListBoxes in VB6, so have the idea about concatenating
strings for list items, but have no experience with ListView.
Which control do you suggest I use?

I have a ListBox that is displaying a formatted string based on the
contents of a DataSet. The purpose of the listbox is for the user to
select an entry to delete, but I'm not sure how to match the listbox
entry with the corresponding DataRow.
The DataRow contains a unique id, but the id is not displayed in the
formatted string that appears in the listbox. Is there a way to
associate the id of the DataRow with the Listbox item so I...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
