Custom DataGridView control for windows media player?

Has anyone wrapped the Windows Media Player ActiveX control as a
custom DataGridView column type (prefereably in VB)?

That might want to share the source code on the group?

So that video/audio clips can be viewed within a cell of a data grid
view. This control would be bound to a database column that contains
the file path/url string of the video/audio file to be played. Such a
control would of course always be read only in a grid column. Sort of
like the DataGridViewIma geCell and DataGridViewIma geColumn classes
except hosting WMP instead of a picture box.

Thanks

When embedding a windows media player wmv video into a Web page like at http://www.marcfest.com/temp/embedvideotest.html, I want the first or so frame of the video to show on loading of the page, before one starts playing the video, rather than the black square currently shown. How can I accomplish this? I thought of using Javascript to tell Media Player to play the video for a fraction of a second after the page is loaded and then pause...

Hi there, I've created a user control to put in a web page. I'd like to add a windows media player control to the user control that I've created. But, for some reason, the user control does not load when I add the windows media player control to it. Is the issue that I did not specify the HTML correctly? I have embedded a windows media player in a web page, and had to specify the CLSID for media player, but in this case, I'd like to...

Has anyone else had a problem using the AXWindowsMediaPlayer control and VB2008? It all seems to work fine for me, but I have sent my application out to a few other people to test, and I have had a couple of reports of problems. Both are using laptop computers. One of them says that the video doesn't play at all (just a black box) the other says that it plays the video, but when it stops (my code just plays until a marker is hit) it goes...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
