VS.NET 2005? Do you have SP1 installed?
The lockup could be due to a lack of memory as well ... the PC maybe
swapping data in or out of the swap file.

I have this problem as well, and I have 2GB of memory. It pretty much
happens whenever I bring up a form in design mode. I just figured it was an
opportunity for me to learn patience?

No, I think what I said what my IDE hangs for a few seconds when I try to
open a form in design mode. I don't think it's ever crashed on me, and I'd
hardly throw the whole thing out just because it hangs every now and then.

Hi,
I have been running some queries against a table in a my database and
have noted an odd (at least it seems odd to me) performance issue.
The table has approximately 5 million rows and includes the following
columns:
DocID (INTEGER, PRIMARY KEY, CLUSTERED)
IsRecord (INTEGER, NONCLUSTERED)

HI Everybody ,
This is the DB2 performance issue I was referring to .
We have requirement where we need to insert some values to the DB2
table and
get back its ID. Its possible by using an insert query , followed by
select
ID query. (Using IDENTITY_LOCAL_VAR)
However what we are looking for is (ofcourse, an ideal case) a single
