Shortcut Question

A few years ago I created a shortcut class using the correct functions/COM
interfaces(IShe llLinkA,/IShellLinkW/GUID's...)

I use this class to create shortcuts the correct way not streamwriter but
does use StringBuilder.. . & it works 100% perfectly, but I need to know the
following:

On my application startup I need to read the arguements of the shortcut.
Here's an example:

Shortcut Target (shortcut properties):

"[PATH TO EXE HERE]" /advanced
"[PATH TO EXE HERE]" /simple

So, I need to know if the target is either 'advanced' or 'easy' & select the
appropriate radiobutton

rdoNone (no shortcut exists)
rdoSimple (target arguments = 'simple')
rdoAdvanced (target arguments = 'advanced')

Any ideas on how to do this?

TIA

Thought this question might be out of this NG's scope, there are always knowledgable people who might hava an answer. A hyperlink to a shortcut to a file returnes an empty screen, and the source code behind this empty screen is <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=windows-1252"></HEAD> <BODY></BODY></HTML> Is this supposed to be like this? ...

A97. If you set a forms properties to ShortcutMenu = No, the entire form is disabled from displaying a shortcut menu. If you set the property to Yes, all controls have a shortcut menu. I have a form that I would like a shortcut menu on 1 control and no shortcut on any other control in the form. But the controls that have no shortcut display a default shortcut. Access help states " If you set the ShortcutMenuBar property to a value

I recently discovered, that if you set the startup options for "security", you will have alot of work do to get Access back to "normal". If you disable the built-in menus/toolbars you'll have to reconstruct the one you want as a custom menu/shortcut(popup)/toolbar. All this was a long journey in order to allow the user to sort/copy on a datasheet view of a subform, with all the menus disabled in the startup options.

I'm trying to make a shortcut that will open an mdb in the same folder as the shortcut - regardless of where the file/shortcut may be. In other words, I want to be able to copy and paste the two files anywhere and have the shortcut always open the mdb that was copied with it without having to change the shortcut properties. If I only use the mdb name without any path, the shortcut tries to look in the folder where msaccess.exe is. I've...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
