Help with DTS package running in Visual Basic .NET

Hi all,

I created a DTS package in SQL Server 2000 that creates several stored
procedures. I need to run this package as part of an installation program
for an application that uses the stored procedures. In the past I saved the
DTS package as a Visual Basic file, compiled the Visual Basic file in the
Visual Studio 6.0 environment and ran the executable during the installation.

I want to do the same thing using Visual Basic in Visual Studio 2005 but I
can't get past this compiler error:
error BC30547: Interface 'DTS.OleDBPrope rties' cannot
be indexed because it has no default property.

Below is the offending code:
oConnection.Con nectionProperti es("Integrated Security") = "SSPI"
oConnection.Con nectionProperti es("Persist Security Info") = True
oConnection.Con nectionProperti es("Initial Catalog") = "SSM6000"
oConnection.Con nectionProperti es("Data Source") = "SSM_6000_S WE"
oConnection.Con nectionProperti es("Applicatio n Name") = "DTS Designer"

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance,
Gloria

Good Afternoon, I need to distribute an application which includes the run time files for Access 2002. I do have the Office XP Developer CD’s. The application itself is written in VB 6 with an Access back-end. I have created a number of reports in Access and I am starting them from the Visual Basic Front End. However, I have a number of users who do not have a copy of Access which means they will obviously need the run time files. ...

I am having a real problem with the Launch conditions in VS .NET and can only come to the conclusion that it is a bug. It states quite emphatically in the MSDN that Launch Conditions WILL be executed in the order added. This statement holds true if every Condition has a InstallURL value set. but not if there is no InstallURL value. For Example : I want to check that W2K exists on the target machine before installing SP4. So, I add a...

I'm really starting to hate writing services -- or trying to, anyway. Why do I need to rename my project to the service name? Why do I need to set the "ServiceName" property to my service name? Why do I need to set a property within my code to the service name? Are all these required or am I just doing this for consistency purposes?

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
