Hi all
Is there a way in which I can get the Form's position on the screen in
pixels? I am having to position another form in relation to an MDI Child
form, so I cannot use the Location property, because the MDI Child is
usually 0,0 (Top left in the parent container) so if I position my other
form in that location it goes to the top left of the entire screen. I have
tried using the overloaded ShowDialog method to make the MDI Child form...

Hi,
I build a web form with a 4-cell table on the top (flawlayout), followed by
some labels and textboxes (gridlayout). The web form is displayed well in
dell m60 laptop with all resolution options and DPI options. However when I
tried to run it in a dell P3 desktop, labels and textboxes overlapped each
other and they were in table area too.
Any suggestions? Do I have to put all controls in table cells?

Hi,
I have a simple problem concerning the position of forms.
My windows form application has a main form and three instances of a
second form; BForm. It is not an MDI parent/child application and I've
set the StartPosition property for both forms to be Manual.
In the New method of the main form I create the 3 BForms and try to
position them below the main form (with the left sides aligned) using

Hello
Two questions about positioning:
When I run my MDI application developed by VS.NET 2003, the MDI window is
opened in a new place and after some run again and again, it opens in a
position that some borders of MDI form goes out of the desktop.
The WindowState of MDI form is in Normal state.

Here's my C# newbie question:
How do I set the position of a modal form?
This (correctly) positions top left of the form at the position of the
main form:
....
Form frmAbout = new About();
frmAbout.Show();
frmAbout.Left = this.Left;

Hi all
Can anyone advise how to get the position of an open form and how to set the
position of an opening form within the access window.
I have: MA Access97 (because I do not have the funds to obtain a more recent
version nor the time to learn the new interface)
Form1 and form2. Both forms are an identical size because of the length of
the captions of the controls on the forms.

I placed a button on a form menustrip for the purpose of causing the
horizontal scrollbar of my form to appear so that I can access controls
outside of the form's current view (the controls are further to the right of
the form than the form's default width - which may take up the entire screen
for some users). The form contains panels which will contain either
textboxes or datagridviews. The button is located on the menustrip towards...

HI,
Just a warning, I'm a javascript neophyte. I'm writing a function to
validate the contents of a form on a web page I'm developing. Since
I'm a neophyte, this function is quite simple at this time (in fact, I
don't even know if it totally works, I'm still debugging). However,
the first problem is that when an error is encountered, I get my alert
box, I press ok and then the form is submitted and the new data is
entered into the...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
