Hi

I suppose it depends on what you want to refresh but you could put a
timer control on your form and do whatever you need to from there.

Cheers

Look at the MSDN help page for Timer class, especially event page.

Hi, I'm a complete beginner in Javascript and php ... so forgive me for asking an easy/simple solution to the following problem: I'm developing an application that involves multi-screen in different windows. One of my windows involves an automatic refresh every 99 sec. The problem is that the window is coming into focus each time the refresh occurs. How can I prevent this from happening? Thank you in advance for any suggestions....

hi all, im currently writing an ASP.net front end to display data found in an XML file. the XML file is quite large (700k or so), and so takes a while to load. it will be changing around every second, so needs to be loaded at least at that rate. at the moment, the ASP application loads the xml every refresh - im thinking that this may cause problems when there are 20 clients each refreshing once per second. the solution im thinking of...

Hi, We are having a few problems with ASP.Net pages hanging during load when an Application Pool is recycled. To test this we have setup the following ASP.net page which refreshes every 2 seconds: <%@ Page language="c#" %> <%@ Import Namespace="System" %> <%@ Import Namespace="System.IO" %>

Hi, is there any way of getting my VB (6.0) program to automatically 'Refresh' an IE window that might be active (window status not applicable). It needs to be able to determine which active IE window to refresh, based on its caption. For example, there is a web site that I want to keep active where I normally have to refresh it manually before it times out (every 15 min or so). I might be doing something else at the time so I don't...

Hello, I've been trying to detect when a user closes a page or navigates away from it. This is part of a solution for locking pages (that is, if a user enters a page, no one else can enter it while he doesn't leave). I'm using the window.onunload event to trigger the unlocking of a page, but I don't want the page to be unlocked when a postback or a refresh occurs...I only want it when the user goes to another page or closes the...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies.
