Hi everybody, I am trying to find a way to export automatically an entire database schema into an .xsd A graphical way is to drag & drop the tables from Server Connection into an empty .xsd file. My problem is that the xsd does not include info concerning the relationships between database tables. Is there an automated way to retrieve programmatically the entire db schema into a single xsd file?

Hi folks, I'm searching on this issue since a couple of days: How do I programmatically retrieve the version of an installed program? Is there a possibility to retrieve it via the local MSI database? Or do I have an other chance to get to this information? I need to retrieve it because I do have to check if an update of my app is necessary. But therefore I need to know what Version currently is installed.

I can install/register a service application (one exe file) as different Windows Services. How can I get the EventLogs for each process to write entries under different sources? The eventlog needs to now the ServiceName of the current process (servicebase), but you have to hard code that the ServiceName at design time. eg. my application: abc.exe register a service: c:\> srvinst.exe "ABC_Service_1" c:\mypath\abc.exe

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
