Readmin the Audit Policies in the Local Security Settings on 200/2003 servers?

Using VB.NET (2005)I am trying to find the EASIEST way to read(JUST
read) the local audit policy settings on MS 2000/2003 servers. I have
looked at using WMI and LSA but, quite frankly, after looking at some
sample code, I was scared off in both cases. If someone could just
point me at a good resource, or provide a snippet of code I would be
EXTREMELY greatful.

Hello, I am trying to find a way to create a scheduled task or service that will copy my local profile folders under "Documents and settings" to a network drive. This would allow me to restore my settings if my profile became tampered with or corrupt. Is there any sample code available out there? -Robert

Hi, Is it possible for one to program one's pages as such that when a database table is updated over the web, via a form, that an e-mail confirmation is sent to a specified address, notifying the update has taken place? If so is there a tutorial out there that is easy to understand and implement? Thanks so much

After applying the KB Automatic Update #833987 (JPEG Security Issue), our development server suddenly will not allow any IIS 6.0 App Pool running with identity set to ASPNET to run. The Event Viewer shows the following trace from the Application Log: Event Type: Warning Event Source: W3SVC Event Category: None Event ID: 1057

My background is Sybase adn MS SQLServer, so I apologize in advance if I use the wrong terminology (please correct that too!) We have an initiative under way to "turn auditing on" for our DB2 servers. Guess who has the job of defining what that means..... What I'm looking for is a couple of URLs to webpages that specify what the settings possible are and their impact upon the system logs.

We're going to be enabling the audit facility on some of our DB2 servers in the future, and I need some basic information on how large I can expect the log to grow. I've already been warning NOT to enable everything as a single event can generate multiple BIG records that will swamp the system. Going over the requirementat and our access standards, here's the list of the items we neet to monitor, broken down by the categories:...

Managing DHCP Servers using C# They said it was impossible. It couldn't be done. But you can in fact manage DHCP servers using C#. This includes creating and deleting Scopes, SuperScopes, Reservations, Exclusions, Options and so forth. Since the dll...

Managing DHCP Servers using C# They said it was impossible. It couldn't be done. But you can in fact manage DHCP servers using C#. This includes creating and deleting Scopes, SuperScopes, Reservations, Exclusions, Options and so forth. Since the dll that is used was written several years ago by Microsoft, you cannot manage things on the DNS tab when looking at a reservation and few things such as that however it gives you main things you...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...
