Simple passing a string to an included ASP .Net page

RSH
Hi,

I am having to temporarily work over an existing website.
I have a template include page that I would like to pass a string variable
that will change based on the parent that calls the include.
This used to be quite simple but I am having trouble making it work in .Net.

Basically this is the code in the .ASPX parent page that calls the include
page which works fine:

Response.WriteF ile ("../Includes/PopupWindowHead er.aspx")

The problem is that I can't figure out how to pass the string to the include
page to print it out in the include page.

How do I go about passing a simple string from the parent container aspx
page to the child include page?

Thanks,

Ron

Dear Newsgroupers, The 'main' page contains a call to a function in an included file. This function puts a html-form on the screen. Before the form gets posted (to the 'main' page) some prior errorchecking is done. The form fields are then sent and an object is created (all in the same function). What I need ( imo ) is an array with objects that can be written later to a dbfile to preserve. But I cannot find a solution for the...

OK, here's the scenario: I have a CGI script that generates a page with frames (BTW, I'm not crazy about frames, but in this case the decision to use them is out of my hands). In a typical session, the user interacts with two of these frames extensively, and up to the very end of the session, this interaction is handled entirely client-side by a fairly elaborate JavaScript script. (This interaction takes place exclusively via HTML...

I am trying to display an image on my page by using "img src= hyperlink". the hyperlink is stored in a c# variable. but i seem to have the syntax mixed up. This passing the image directly works e.g. objCell.Text = "<img src=\"image.gif\">"; but using a variable does not seen to work. String imageLocation="image.gif";

I have a sinking feeling I'm missing something really, really simple. I'm looking for a format string similar to '%.3f' except that trailing zeroes are not included. To give some examples: Float String 1.0 1

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
