Hi All,
I have created an application using C# and AzMan (Authorization
Manager). It works successfully when I run that under the AzMan
administrative ID, User_A for example. However, when I run the same
application on another machine with some different user id, User_B, it
cannot connect to Authorization Manager Policy Store.
In Authorization Manager, on Authorization Store level, I have added
User_B in Reader & Administrator Group...

Joe Kaplan point out there is a ActiveDirectoryMembershipProvider for AD but
there doesn't appear to be an AD/ADAM provider for Roles and Profiles.
1. Is a separate ASP.NET provider needed to provide AD/ADAM support for
Roles and Profiles?
2. Is MS only planning to support AD/ADAM for Membership and not Roles and

After quite some time of troubleshooting, searching the web and posting to
newsgroups, I have finally managed to use the
ActiveDirectoryMembershipProvider and the AuthorizationStoreRoleProvider.
The issue I am running into now however is I can not get the two to work
together. So I can Authenticate John Doe against ADAM and I can create roles
in the AzMan store but I can't check to see if John Doe belongs to an AzMan

because a transition to SQL Server is still a viable option in the near
future.

I have a set of Service Methods which I want to secure each method with a single AzMan operation definition. However, these services are shared across many applications. So I consider the service methods as being global, a.k.a. not part of an application.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
